If you press Tab key, and hold it pressed, then press 1 (Top1 key) for example. If you just press Tab key as usually - the AHK program will send a 'Tab' Keystroke for the System. It should work perfectly for both - for text, and for files, too. You just need to hold a Tab key, never release it, when you are copying anything.
